The Camino de Santiago is a path that has long interested me. There isn’t just one path walked by pilgrims on the path, but several. I spent some time during lockdown exploring the various ways on maps online. I created a couple sketchbooks of maps and images I found online. I also painted three series of abstract landscapes of the Camino.  Within these paintings, there are images pulled from maps and photographs.  These are all layered together.  As you look through these landscape layers, look also for the seashell, the symbol of the Camino de Santiago.  It’s featured throughout the paintings, leading us onward.
